Joanne Tell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Albritten's Funeral Service - Dawson on Nov. 13, 2024.
Ms. Joanne Tell, the beloved daughter of Freddie J. Tell Sr. and Susie Brantley Tell, was born on January 16, 1963, in Neptune, New Jersey. Her family later relocated to Sasser, Georgia, where she was raised and continued her life surrounded by loved ones.
From a young age, Joanne accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a dedicated member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Sasser, Georgia. She was a proud graduate of Terrell County High School, Class of 1981. Joanne worked diligently throughout her life as an operator at Coats & Clark in Albany, Georgia, until her retirement. In retirement, she discovered a deep passion for cooking and found immense joy in spending precious time with her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly.
On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, our dear daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, answered the ultimate call to come home for eternal rest at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. Although it broke our hearts to lose her, we rejoice in knowing that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Mannie Tell, and her paternal grandparents, Andrew and Susie Brantley.
Joanne's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind two devoted daughters, Tasheisa (Rashawn) Robinson of Hampton, Georgia, and Shanora Keaton of Albany, Georgia; her loving parents, Freddie J. Tell Sr. and Susie Brantley Tell of Sasser, Georgia; five sisters, Chanda ( Norma) Bacon of Tampa, Florida, Priscilla ( Steve) Jones of Sasser, Georgia, Cynthia Cromedy of Conyers, Georgia, Denise Tell-Johnson of Albany, Georgia, and Veronica (Michael) Thomas of Albany, Georgia. She also leaves behind two brothers, David James Tell of Albany, Georgia, and Freddie James Tell Jr. of Conyers, Georgia. Joanne adored her seven grandchildren: Tyree Kshon Crutchfield, Cardarius Keaton, Carter Robinson, Sadarion Harris, Kamarion Harris, Ryliegh Robinson, and Karlee Harris. Additionally, she is remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family and faith have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Joanne's legacy of love, service, and compassion will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends as they cherish the memories they shared.
