Joaquin A. Mendoza, 30 of Vaughn, NM passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023.
Joaquin was born to Jose J. Mendoza and Alma A. Mendez on July 18, 1993 in Albuquerque, NM. Joaquin was raised in Vaughn, where he graduated from Vaughn High School in 2012. Following high school, Joaquin worked construction and currently was working as a ranch hand for the Perez Ranch.
Joaquin enjoyed crafting, forging and riding his motorcycle, however his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his daughter, Nevaeh and the time he spent with his family.
Joaquin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Jesus Mendoza and Maria Salazar.
Joaquin is survived by his daughter: Neveah of Seminole, TX, his girlfriend: Linda Teichroeb of Seminole, TX, father: Jose Joaquin Mendoza, mother and step-father: Alma Angelica Mendez and Rogelio Baeza of Vaughn, his siblings: Noely Mendoza (Juan Muñoz) of Roswell, NM, Hector Mendoza (Cinthia Torres) of Vaughn, Jose Mendoza (Kyra Lozano) of Vaughn and Jorge Mendoza of Vaughn, his maternal grandparents: Hector and Eva Mendez of Vaughn, nephews Joziah Mendoza and Yahir Castillo, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 1-6PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, and again on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 1-6PM at Chavez Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 14, 2023 at 11AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, NM, with Father Sotero Sena officiating.
Pallbearers will include: Jose, Hector, Jorge, Cristian, Saul, Alex, Tobie and Juan.
