Joaquin Zea Obituary

Visit the Harrell Funeral Home of Austin website to view the full obituary.
Joaquin Zea, a beacon of unwavering passion and selfless love, embarked on his eternal journey on September 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and creativity. Born on July 6, 1996, in the vibrant city of Austin, TX, Joaquin's life was a testament to the power of nurturing relationships and embracing one's talents. He returned to the embrace of Austin's comforting landscapes as he bid farewell to a world that was unequivocally brighter for his presence.

Joaquin's life was a canvas of devotion and artistry, painted with the love he had for his family, his craft, and his community. His mother, Anna Perez, instilled in him the values of kindness and perseverance, while his brothers, Julian and Domenique Zea, were his comrades in life's adventures. Maria Irma Calistro, his cherished grandmother, was a guiding star whose wisdom and love knew no bounds. The love of his life, Nicole Staples, was his constant companion, sharing laughter, love, and the everyday moments that made their journey together so meaningful.

A proud graduate of Akins High School and Austin Community College, Joaquin's pursuit of knowledge was driven by a desire to excel in his chosen field as an automotive collision repair technician. His work was more than a job; it was a craft he honed with precision and care, restoring not just vehicles but the spirits of those he served. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and commitment, always willing to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement.

Joaquin's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's trials and triumphs with grace and humility. He lived his beliefs through actions, demonstrating compassion and generosity in the countless lives he touched. His interests were as varied as they were deep; cooking and grilling were not mere hobbies but expressions of love, his gaming a shared adventure with friends, and his painting and drawing a window into the beauty he perceived in the world.

To be in Joaquin's presence was to experience the boundless energy of a man who loved fiercely and lived fully. He was the heart of every family gathering, his laughter a melody that resonated in the memories of all who loved him. His selflessness was a guiding light, inspiring others to give without expectation of return. Joaquin's love was a shelter in times of need, a celebration in moments of joy, and a quiet comfort in the stillness of everyday life.

As we honor Joaquin Zea, let us carry forward the essence of his spirit. Let us live with the same passion that he brought to each day, love with the selflessness that he embodied, and create with the fervor that defined him. Joaquin's story does not end here; it continues in the hearts he has touched, the lives he has changed, and the love he has left behind. His journey on this earth was a testament to the extraordinary impact one life can have, and his memory will forever be a beacon of hope and inspiration. Joaquin Zea, a life beautifully lived, a soul profoundly cherished.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 11, 2025, at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church.
