She attended Westfield State University and graduated cum laude in 2015 as a Sankofa scholar with her Bachelors in Art Education, while also working at the Boys and Girls Club. After graduating college she became the Visual Arts Director for the Club. She dedicated herself to expanding the arts programming there, and was one of five on a national team to secure grant funding for arts programs. She was fiercely proud of working with her club kids, mentoring them in various programs such as Keystone and Smart Girls (also a member of both as a club kid) in addition to visual arts. Working in youth development meant so much to her. Jocelyn loved painting and photography and excelled at both. Know for her colorful personality as well as her colorful hair, she lived Halloween every day; enjoyed both indie and professional wrestling, horror, reading, and practical jokes. "The Quackening", "The Thousand Faces of Nic Cage" and the "Magically-Appearing Googley Eyes" will go down in family history as the best practical jokes ever. An Elder Emo to her core, she adored My Chemical Romance-and got to see them with her sibling at MetLife Stadium in August 2025 when Do It For The Love granted her wish. Seeing a moose in real life was the only unchecked item on her bucket list. Her fiercely independent fire, sass, and spirit will live on in everyone who knew her. Her motto: "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." Calling hours will be at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home in Westfield on Sunday November 16, 2025 from 1-4pm.
