Jodi L. Lodde

Jodi L. Lodde, 61, of Lafayette, after an 11 year battle against cancer, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at her home. She was born April 13, 1964, in Kankakee, IL, to Larry Lambert of Effingham, IL and the late Judith (Merrill) Lambert.

Jodi graduated from St. Anthony's Catholic High School in Effingham, IL and received her Nursing degree from Ivy Tech State College in Lafayette.

On August 4, 1997, in Miami FL, she and Tom Lodde blended their family together with a Wedding cruise having their children be their wedding party.

Besides nursing Jodi enjoyed waitressing. She combined her two skills by working at assisted living facilities Westminster Village, George Davis Manor and Digby Place.

She enjoyed reading, traveling the Caribbean Sea and camping with friends, besides singing and dancing with the grandkids before sending them home!

Surviving along with her husband are her children Justin D. (Erin) Hetzel of Greenup, IL, Blake M. Lodde of Lafayette, Jason J. (Madison) Hetzel of Lovington IL, Lindsey R. (Ryan Kingsley) Kilmore of Shadeland, Candi L. Mitchell of Attica, and her grandchildren, Eden Hetzel, Gavin Lodde, Landon Lodde, Bryant Lodde, Macy Hetzel, Jude Hetzel, Lavayah Shields, Annabelle Hetzel, Paisley Shields, Sophia Shields, Ollie Kilmore, Becket Kilmore-Kingsley, Natali Dillon, Quinn Mitchell, Owen Mitchell. Imagine Christmas at her House!

Also surviving are her siblings Kathi (Rob) Worrell of Vancouver, WA, Lori (Lee) Schutte of Riverside, CA, Jaymie (Tony) Barela of Cameron Park, CA and Jill (Jeffrey) Anderson of Meridian, ID.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. A livestream of the service will be available on Jodi's obituary page at www.soller-baker.com.
