In Loving Memory of Jodi Deann Sharp (née Cook)April 25, 1970 – March 29, 2025

Jodi Deann Sharp, age 54, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on March 29, 2025. Born on April 25, 1970, in Bethany, Missouri, Jodi lived a life marked by love, dedication, and compassion.

For more than 25 years, Jodi worked in the real estate closing and title services industry. Her commitment to helping others achieve their dreams of homeownership was matched only by her genuine kindness and professionalism.

Jodi was a devoted mother to her three children—Zachary Sharp and his wife Emily Cox, and Mattie Sharp—whom she loved unconditionally. She was also a cherished sister to Aaron Cook and sister-in-law to Alex Hopkins. Her stepmother Debbie McDaniel held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her mother Brenda Todd, stepfather Charles Todd, and father Tracy Cook. Jodi’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched—as a daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend—and most importantly—a loving mother.

In her personal time, you could always find her where her heart felt most at home—at the ball fields, cheering from the sidelines as her kids played their favorite sports. With a Hi Boy Cherry Coke in hand and pride in her eyes, she was their biggest fan and most devoted supporter. Her love extended beyond her children to the many furry companions she fondly called “the zoo.” Each pet was a cherished part of her world, bringing her comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. Whether it was a quiet moment on the porch or a playful romp in the yard, she made even the smallest moments feel special.

Jodi will be remembered for her warmth, strength of spirit, and the deep love she had for her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Jodi’s life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Park Lawn Funeral Home, located at 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, MO 64138. A brief visitation will begin at 10:30 AM, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 AM.
