Jody Burrows, also widely known as "Toad" went home peacefully to be with Jesus Friday, November 21st after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on September 6, 1955 in Monette, AR to the late Marion Franklin and Maudie Leah Woody. She was a faithful member of Russellville Christian Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Marion Woody Jr, Charles Woody, and David Woody; two sisters, Lenora Craig and Gwendolyn Foster.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Ralph Burrows; two daughters, Carmen (BJ) Adair of Havana, and Becca Burrows of Davis, OK; two brothers, Greg Woody, and Tim (Judy) Woody; three sisters, Janet Simmons, Zellah Anderson, and Lillis Redd; one granddaughter, Chloe Adair; adopted son and daughter, Scott and Charity Dawson; and a host of family and friends.

Jody was married to the love of her life, Johnny Ralph, for 46 years. Together they created a life of faith and family. He was her cowboy and she was his Gertie. Her pride and joy was her family and she was a fierce momma bear to Carmen and Becca. Always present at every event and being the loudest one in the stands, she was a force to be reckoned with. That quickly grew to include her favorite son-n-love, BJ. Her best girl was her Sugar Bear, Chloe'. To be loved by her was the best and greatest gift.

She had a love for traveling and was always up for an adventure. No matter what the adventure looked like as long as she was with her family she was happy. Sugar cookies were a must on every trip, with them always matching the destination. Cooking was her love language and if she knew something you loved, you can best bet you were probably going to get it when your birthday rolled around.

Most importantly she loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know Him.

Jody worked at the Yell County Courthouse for over 30 years, starting in the Clerk's Office and then moving to the Assessor's office before she retired in 2020. After that, she worked part time at Central Beekeepers Supply. And every March you could find her cooking her famous hushpuppies at the Havana Ruritan Scholarship dinner.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and courage.

"I have fought an excellent fight. I have finished my full course with all my might and I've kept my heart full of faith."
2 Timothy 4:7 TPT

Memorial service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Russellville Christian Center.
