Jody Lee Davis was born to Neil and Patricia (Liebelt) Davis on April 2, 1966, in Moorhead, MN. He grew up in Barnesville where he attended elementary and high school. During high school Jody was active on the wrestling team. He graduated in 1984.
On June 25, 1988, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Lisa Erdman. Together they have raised three beautiful daughters, Krista, Alysha, and McKenzie and have continued that love of family with eight grandchildren.
Over the years, Jody has worked road construction beginning with FM Asphalt, then SM inc., and returning to FM Asphalt for the past several years. After work, Jody was always found hanging out in the garage tinkering, looking for deals on marketplace on his phone, and drinking a cold beer. He loved to jump in the Can-Am with Lisa and take it out for cruises. Jody had a love of traveling, often enjoying the warm sun, water, and sand all at the same time. His most precious hours were spent with his grandkids and family doing the simple things in life. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with anything from fixing cars to siding a house. Jody enjoyed cooking, smoking, grilling, and experimenting with new recipies. During football season you could always find him watching the Minnesota Vikings.
Over the years he has also enjoyed racing of all sorts.
Jody is survived by his wife Lisa Davis, three daughters: Krista (Andy McCann) Davis of St. Paul, MN, Alysha (Colin) Kelly of Oak Harbor, WA, McKenzie (Mikey Mork) Davis of Barnesville, MN, eight grandchildren: Brayden, Camdyn, Lucy, Jaxon, Tate, Brooks, Holden, Luka, two brothers Ponch Davis, of Barnesville, Wade Davis of Fargo, ND, several nieces and nephews including two special nieces Katie (Patrick) Davis of Ulen, MN, and Abby (Jordan) Bang of Barnesville, MN.
