It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jody Eugene Walker, of Perryville, MD, who departed this life on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on January 5, 1960, Jody was the son of the late Charles Odell Walker and Helen Kellum Walker.

He was a man who walked to the beat of his own drum. If you knew him, you knew that he was unapologetically himself. He didn't try to fit into anyone else's mold. He found joy in the simple things; the quiet peace of the outdoors, the rhythms of country living, the freedom of open spaces. That was his church. That was his peace. He loved being surrounded by nature-whether it was fixing something out in the yard, spending time with his animals, or just sitting back and soaking in the world around him. He had a soul that belonged under wide-open skies. Jody was a man who could fix just about anything. He was Mr. Fix-It. He had a mind for how things worked, and he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty repairing cars or doing construction work or just being a tinkerer.

Jody is survived by his cherished daughter, Nicole Walker-Lease of Manchester, PA, granddaughters, Willow and Teagen, and sisters, Doreen Williams and Dawn Walker, both of Havre de Grace, MD, and Deneen Walker of Aberdeen, MD. He is also survived by his nephews, Jeremy Mothershed, Joshua Montague, nieces, Tanieka Montague, Alyson Montague, furbaby nephew, Brantley, and great nieces and nephews, Mason, Ishmal, Railyn, Spencer and Jabari. In honoring Jody's life and legacy, a public viewing will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am.

Following the service, Jody will be laid to rest at the Angel Hill Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD.Jody Walker's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be profoundly missed but forever remembered as a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures.
