Joseph Kempf "Joe" Bagwell, 81, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday September 19, 2025, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Tuesday September 23rd at 12 noon at Grace Baptist Church in Springfield with Dr. Steve Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Joe was born January 22, 1944, in Springfield, to the late Walter and Bessie Florence Ellis Bagwell. He was retired from Robertson County Government, having worked in electrical maintenance, and was proud to be a certified electrician. Joe was a member of the Millwright Union and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Springfield. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe was an avid UT Vols and TN Titans fan, and he was always ready to go riding around the countryside anytime someone wanted to go.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Vincent Bagwell, Sr., Billy Wayne Bagwell, Roy Bagwell, and James Bagwell, and by his brother-in-law: Earl Sowell. Joe is survived by his wife: Juli Miller Bagwell of Springfield, by his sons: Joseph Paul Bagwell of Franklin, KY, and Patrick Bagwell (Davida) of Portland, by his daughters: Patty Smith (Billy) of Franklin, KY, and Jesse Bagwell of Franklin, KY, by his bonus daughters: Mandie Martin (Bradley) of Mt. Juliet, and Ellie House (Austin) of Ashland City, by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Bobby Bagwell (Evonda), Johnny Bagwell (Sherry), and Juanita Bagwell, by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Elizabeth McClard (Joe), Norma Sowell, and Nancy Heatherly (Lewis), by his eleven grandchildren, four bonus grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
