I am profoundly saddened by the passing of Dr. Joe Beasley. For over 15 years, I had the privilege of knowing Joe, a man whose work as an international humanitarian had a direct, transformative impact on the world.
His commitment to empowering others was evident when he championed our Kashwesha project in Kenya, helping us secure vital funding through UN Habitat. Because of his support, countless slum dwellers were able to acquire essential IT skills, gaining new opportunities and hope.
Joe was a giant of integrity, compassion, and action. His legacy is etched in the lives he touched, from Atlanta to Africa. My deepest sympathies go out to his sons, Rick and Rodney, and the entire Beasley family. He will be deeply missed - Samuel M. Kariuki

There was a time in my life here in Ghana when hope was almost gone. My family and I were facing extreme financial hardship. Life was very difficult, we struggled even for basic needs, and completing my education seemed impossible. I truly did not know how the future would turn out.

During that season, my life changed when I met Mr. Deon Carter, who was in Ghana on business. Through his kindness, my education was fully supported from undergraduate to master's level, my family received help, and our situation was completely transformed. He not only helped me; he supported many others through education, healthcare, and community development across Ghana, including roads for cocoa-farming villages and providing food and other support for children and families in need.

It was later that I came to understand that Mr. Carter´s presence and work in Ghana began with the encouragement and guidance of Dr. Joe Beasley. He was the one who advised and encouraged Mr. Carter to come to Ghana, to invest, to help people, and to make a difference.

If not for Dr. Joe Beasley´s guidance, I may never have met Mr. Deon Carter, and my life, and the lives of many others, might not have changed in the way they did. Though I did not know Dr. Beasley personally, I am one of the many people whose lives were touched through the influence of his decisions.

This is why his passing feels personal to me. His kindness, wisdom, and belief in helping others continue to live on through the lives he impacted, even from afar. I carry this memory with gratitude and respect.

Dr. Joe Beasley may have departed this world, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched both directly and indirectly. I am living evidence of the ripple effect of his compassion and wisdom. Because of him, families found hope, students found education, and communities found development.

To the family of Dr. Joe Beasley, please accept my deepest condolences. You lost a loved one, but the world gained a legacy of kindness, impact, and selfless service. I firmly believe that God has prepared a special place for him, for a life so well lived in service to others.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
His light will never fade.

I´ve known Dr Beasley for almost 20 years, since I was a young activist in Brazil. Over those years, he became a mentor and my family far from home. He was an example and inspiration. Dr. Beasley will be missed, but I know he "fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith."
My condolences to his family and everyone who loves him.

With profound sadness, I received the news of the passing of Joe Beasley, a man whose life was entirely devoted to justice, human dignity, and the tireless defense of the most disadvantaged.
My name is Jorge Serrão, from Mozambique, and I carry with me an enduring sense of gratitude, as it was thanks to Joe Beasley that I had the opportunity to visit the United States of America-an experience that deeply shaped my personal, academic, and civic life.
Joe Beasley was more than a leader; he was a moral conscience of our time. He consistently supported noble causes, defended the oppressed, and fought with courage and integrity for the rights of Black people and for social justice, following the same path as giants of history such as Martin Luther King Jr. His commitment to truth, equality, and human rights crossed borders and transformed lives in different parts of the world.
May you find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in all of us who were inspired by his mission and his example. May God grant strength, peace, and consolation to his family, friends, and all who mourn this great loss.

Joe Beasley may be gone, but his struggle continues.

Please accept my deepest condolences during this time of profound sorrow. Joe Beasley was an extraordinary man whose legacy of justice, courage, and service to others crossed borders and touched many lives.
My name is Dick Maguengue, from Mozambique, and thanks to his foundation I had the honor of participating in the first Truth and Justice Tribunal in Atlanta, an experience that profoundly shaped my life and my commitment to justice.
May you find comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to live on in all those who were inspired by his mission. May God comfort your hearts.

My condolences to the entire Beasley family and colleagues.
I had the privilege of meeting Mr Beasley at Antioch Baptist Church.
Us ladies at Ruth´s House would all meet in his office once a week and learn of the community/political activities that he was involved with at that time. I had the upmost respect for Beasley as a mentor, a god-fearing man and activist.
Rest in our Savior´s arms.
