Joe Brown Obituary
Joe Edward Brown, 82, of Colcord, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Tontitown, Arkansas.
Joe was born on June 27, 1943, in Galveston, Texas. He was the son of Bruce Brown and Ruth Duhon Brown. He Married Kathy Fox Guest on September 15, 1999 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Joe served honorably in the U. S. Navy for six years, where he was a Dental Technician, a trade he used for the rest of his life. He enjoyed horses including, bareback riding, team roping, cutting horses, breaking them and training them. In his later years he spent his time watching rodeos, always taking him back to his love of horses. Joe was a member of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Bruce “Bo” Brown and one brother, Craig Quinn.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Brown of the home; two daughters, Kelly and husband Jerry Pickett of Siloam Springs, and Bonnie and husband Bryan Bader of Olathe, Kansas; one sister, Ruthell and husband Lynn Lounsberry of Buna, TX; four stepsons, Michael Guest of Siloam Springs, Jeremy Guest and wife Marina of Alvin, Texas, Allen Guest and wife Gypsy of Oregon; and Charles Guest and wife Shelly of Siloam Springs; twenty seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; along with a host other family members and friends.
A Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Siloam Springs at 2:00pm. Pastor Rex Blisard will officiate the service with burial being held at the Fairmount Cemetery.
The arrangements were entrusted to Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR.
