Joe Parsley Buntley

Graveside service for Joe Parsley Buntley, age 98, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00pm to 1:30pm on Tuesday at Higgins.
Joe was born August 19, 1924, in Fayetteville, TN to the late David Hugh and Mary Irene Lane Buntley. He was a graduate of Central High School, he owned and operated a used car lot, and he worked as service manager in the automotive industry for many years. Joe was a member of the Fayetteville Moose Lodge and Fayetteville Elks Lodge. He was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. He also enjoyed boating and being on the water, and he even went water skiing for his 81st birthday. Joe attended Oakhill Baptist Church and was a friend to most everyone he met. He passed away November 17, 2022, at Lynchburg Nursing Center.
Survivors include his daughter, Melanie Joan "Joanie" Hardiman; son, Freddy Buntley, and his wife Treva; grandchildren, Jonathan Hard, Andrea (Devin) Madewell, Cory Hardiman, Tiffany (Ian) Wetherholt, Kyle Buntley, and Adam Buntley; great-grandchildren, Andrew Hard, Olivia Hard, Levi Hard, William York, James York, Piper Hardiman, Vivien Madewell, Camden Madewell, and Joe Wetherholt.
