Jo was born on May 25, 1950, in El Paso, Texas to Lyss and Elise Calhoun. She was a loving mother to Lyssanne Bustamante Rodriguez, Christopher Michael Bustamante, and David Garcia. Jo enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Julia Maria Molina, Salvador Molina III, Estella Garcia, David Garcia Jr., Bode Garcia, and Annelise Bustamante. Jo was also a furry mom to Roco and Georgie who will be taken care of by her son, David.
Jo spent most of her life caring for other as a Registered Nurse. She worked her way up in health care where she started as a unit clerk and nursing aide at Providence Memorial Hospital. Jo's nursing career was vast, working in the Oncology unit, Surgical outpatient, Home Health, Community Health Center and her favorite Hospice home health services.
Jo was an advocate for her patients as well as a kind compassionate person. She touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday August 16, 2025 at 10am at St Luke's Episcopal Church 7050 McNutt Rd. Anthony, NM 88021. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Joe, please visit our floral store.
