Joe Bob Davis, 59, of McLean, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Celebration of life memorial service will be Saturday April 6, 2024 at 2pm at
One Way Church in McLean with Pastor Casey Carter officiating.
Joe Bob was born on June 4, 1964, in Amarillo to Lyda and Bobby Davis.
He grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School. After
high school, he enrolled into TSTI to be a diesel mechanic. Following his
education and training, he started a long career that covered several years and
spanned to companies along the way, that included Warren CAT, Sparling
Automotive, City of McLean, and then working as an independent mechanic.
Joe Bob was a talented man with his hands and besides using them in his
career he put them to woodworking, carpentry, landscaping, and offering his
help to anyone in need. Joe Bob will be remembered as a giving and
compassionate man. Joe's family and friends will miss him and his banter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Tiffany Davis, a sister
Tonya Davis Whipkey; a niece Brandy Abbott, and a nephew KJ Abbott.
Joe Bob is survived by a son, Dustin Davis and wife Erica of Amarillo; three
daughters, Whitney Davis, and Jessica Davis and fiancé Kyndan Lott, all of
Pampa, Cheyenne Smith of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Mia, Charli,
Cannon, Lili, Cash, Case, and one grandchild on-the-way; two sisters, Trudy
Davis of McLean, and Robbie Weldon and husband Vance of Carthage; a
brother, Clayton Davis of McLean; three nieces; six nephews; an aunt,
Kathryn Wright of McLean, several great nieces, great nephews, and other
extended family members.
