Joe Doe, age 67 of Alton, Missouri, was born on July 1st, 1957, in Jackson County, Missouri and passed away on March 6th, 2025 at his home surrounded by many loving friends.
Even though Joe was considered profoundly disabled, he had many enjoyments in life. The ones who knew Joe best would say his favorite things were, food, especially Chinese buffet, open faced roast beef, and anything chocolate. He also enjoyed playing tug of war with his staff, going to parks, picnics at the river and watching tv. His most favorite pastimes were playing video games and taking naps.
Joe is survived by many loving caretakers who were more like family and his dear friend and longtime roommate of 20 plus years, Chad. Joe was a blessing to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his friends at TJ Swift House. It was a great honor to be able to care for Joe for so many years.
Services will be held at Clary Funeral Home in Alton, Missouri on Wednesday March 19th at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow at Cave Springs Cemetery in Alton, Missouri.
