Joe Eidson aka Gopher, 60, of Thomasville, passed away on Sunday – September 21, 2025 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bainbridge, GA on February 3, 1965 to the late Issac LaFayette Eidson and Billie Merle Sellers. He worked for Cives Steel as a Painter before he retired. He had a knack for cooking and grilling and made some of the best ribs around. He enjoyed growing vegetables and giving them away to anyone who would take them. On the weekends he was always known to be in the kitchen cooking and watching football, with the Georgia Bulldogs or the Pittsburg Steelers on the tv, depending on the day. He will be truly missed by his friends and family.

Joe is survived by; his children, Carson Eidson of Warner Robins, GA, Cody Eidson of Perry, GA, and Edward Bachelor of Hopeful, GA, grandson, Greyson Blackmon of Warner Robins, GA, siblings, William "Buddy" Eidson of Thomasville, GA, Nora Bush of Brinson, GA, Cynthia Eidson of Thomasivlle, GA, and Lucy Rhymes (Marvin) of Ochlocknee, GA, and his beloved friend, Barbara Franz of Thomasville, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; siblings, Janis Sanders, Terry Daniels, Diana Wiley, Sherry Benton, David Eidson, and Willie Eidson.

Graveside Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Wednesday – September 24, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Allen officiating.
