Marla Benton Obituary
Marla was born on April 29, 1975, in Thomasville, Georgia to Jimmy Perry Benton and the late Charlotte Sandra Willis Benton. She was a graduate of Thomas County Central High School, Class of 1993. She attended Lee University where she was a member of the Ladies Choir, that she truly enjoyed being a part of. She also loved spending time Scrapbooking, especially when making gifts for her family. Marla was a kind soul with a huge heart. She will forever be missed and loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her father, Jimmy Perry Benton of Thomasville, Georgia; her brother, Perry Benton (Beverly) of Thomasville, Georgia; her nephews, Luke Benton and Jason Benton, also of Thomasville, Georgia; and special friends Kim Crawford, Shea Fulghum, and Allison Harper.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A private interment will follow at Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery.
