Joe Anthony Esquivel (Joey) a man whose laughter was as infectious as his passion for life, passed away on August 8, 2024, at the age of 38. Born on January 27, 1986, in the vibrant city of
Austin, Texas, Joey loved his city he loved and was always surrounded by the people and the community he cherished deeply. Joey was a man who wore many hats, though none quite as proudly as that of a devoted father, a beloved son, and a revered brother, cousin, nephew, friend. His family was the cornerstone of his life, a bond unbreakable and cherished. He is survived by his father, Refugio Esquivel; his siblings, Sandra Esquivel, Refugio Esquivel, Jonathan Esquivel, Salvador Esquivel, and David Rodriguez, Steven Rodriguez and their respective spouses, Jose Garcia, Susan Esquivel, Gigi Esquivel, Jessica Esquivel, Leeana Rodriguez, and Sierra Rodriguez. His kid, Dalia, Damion, Michael, Dylan, and Jr. Joey's spirit will also live on in the hearts of his grandkids, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who will miss their fun-loving uncle. Joey found his calling in the art of landscaping, where he not only shaped the environment but also the smiles of those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. His work ethic was as strong as his sense of humor, and he was as skilled with a punchline as he was with his hands and clippers, he nicknamed his hands "Power Tools". He devoted his last 20 Years working for D.E. Ramert Associates.
Joey's interests were as wide and as deep as a Texas river. He loved fishing, always ready with a baited hook and a tall tale about the one that got away. Family time was sacred to him, whether it was spent tossing horseshoes, rolling dice, shooting pool, or simply sharing laughter around the dinner table. Joey loved leaving a party with a good burn out. The whole neighborhood would come out, he was an amazing driver. Joey had an unmatchable zest for life that drew people to him; he was the heart and soul of every gathering. Those who knew Joey would describe him as loving, funny, and selfless. His humor was a gift that he gave freely, brightening the days of friends and family alike. He had a knack for making even the mundane seem amusing, and his presence was a constant source of joy. Joey's selflessness was evident in every aspect of his life; he was always the first to offer help and the last to ask for anything in return. Joey's legacy is not just in the memories he leaves behind, but in the laughter that will echo in the stories retold by those who loved him. He was a man who could find humor in the face of adversity, and his spirit was as resilient as it was jovial. Joey's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the strength of familial love. As we say goodbye to "Joey", we do so with a smile, knowing that he would want us to celebrate his life rather than mourn his passing. His was a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the simple joys that make life worth living. Joey may have left this world, but the echoes of his laughter will resonate in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dear Joey. Your legacy will continue to inspire us all to live life to the fullest, to love without reservation, and to always keep a joke at the ready. You may have taken your final bow, but the applause for the joy you brought to our lives will never fade.
