Born on April 24, 1957, in Buford, Georgia, Joe Anne's vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Joe Anne's life was illuminated by her love for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Grainger and Sandy Farrington; son and daughter-in-law, Woody and Donna Grainger; and daughter and son-in-law Tina Brake Jenkins and Rupert Latray. Her cherished grandchildren, Kim (Mark) Daniels, Chris Parker, Justin (Carla Smith) Brake, Chad Parker, Staci Brake, Cameron Parker, and Jacob (Breanna) Grainger, carry forward her legacy with fond memories and shared moments. Joe Anne also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren who will remember her love and warmth.
Joe Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Grainger; daughter, Baby Patricia; parents, Junior and Louise Pruett; her beloved daughter Debbie Parker; her sister Frances Etheridge; and her great-grandson Kayson Parker.
Known for her love of nature, Joe Anne found joy in vibrant flowers and cherished taking walks. She also had a fondness for puzzle books and dancing, showcasing her colorful personality that captivated all who crossed her path. Her laughter and spirit will be profoundly missed.
A funeral service for Joe Anne will be held Sunday, August 31, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, GA and interment following in Gwinnett Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Sunday, prior to her service, from 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.
