Joe Bill Hill, 82, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Beebe Retirement Center after a long illness with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Beebe to Carl and Lillie Ruth Hill. He graduated from Beebe High School in 1961 and attended college at ASU-Beebe and graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1965. Joe Bill spent the next twenty-nine years teaching. He ended his teaching career at Jacksonville High School. He was a teacher as well as a bus driver for Pulaski County Special School District. After his retirement from teaching, he worked in the office of Pat Salmon and Sons. Joe Bill enjoyed playing golf and traveling with the Arkansas Retired Teachers.
He was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe.
Joe Bill is survived by his sister Glenda Stueart and her husband Sam, his niece Stephanie Yarbrough and husband Ruven and their children Hunter and Colton.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Beebe Retirement Center and Stoneridge Senior Living Cottage “C” for the excellent and compassionate care they gave Joe Bill.
Visitation is Friday, November 21st from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. at Union Valley Baptist Church, Beebe, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Stoney Point Cemetery, Beebe.
