Joe Junior Martinez, left this world far too soon on September 28, 2025, while in Alamosa, Colorado. Born on January 24, 1978, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joe brought light and joy into the lives of all he encountered throughout his 47 years.

Joe was blessed with a childhood filled with love and encouragement which helped shape him into a man of many talents and passions. His mechanical inclinations emerged early as he would often be found disassembling gadgets only to reassemble them, curious about their inner workings. Joe's passion wasn't limited to machines, for he was also captivated by the majestic beauty and intricate designs of trains. Joe was an artist at heart, he loved to draw and do many crafts out of anything he could find. Joe always carried a smile on his face and a big heart in his pocket.

He is survived by parents, Darlene and Louie Martinez of Alamosa, CO; Daughter's Lucia & Marissa Martinez of Monte Vista, Co; Siblings, Tino Martinez of Pueblo, CO, Augustin Martinez of Alamosa, CO, Crystal (Adam) Martinez of Capulin, CO, and Toni Martinez of Pueblo, CO. Joe also is survived by numerous Aunts and Uncles and many nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom he deeply Loved.

Joe is preceded in death by his daughter Angel Martinez, his maternal grandparents Rose and George Cordova, uncles Jerry and Christopher Cordova, aunt Connie DeLuna, and his nephew, Joe is surely welcomed into a reunion of love and peace.

Joe's life was a testament to his attributes: he was exceptionally handy, deeply passionate, and unconditionally loving. Each memory, each creation, each moment shared with Joe will be treasured as enduring reminders of the magnificent man he was. His hands, which so deftly built and drew wonders in this world, now find rest while his spirit continues to inspire and guide us.

Cremation was performed at the Rogers Family Mortuary Crematory in Alamosa. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Alamosa Cemetery.
