Joe Mayo Obituary

Joe Michael "Mike" Mayo

December 17, 1953 - July 21, 2025

Pass Christian, Mississippi - Joe Michael "Mike" Mayo, a long time resident of Waveland and Pass Christian, earned his wings on July 21, 2025 after a three-year battle with cancer. He and his husband, Tom Cottom, co-founded Countryside Antiques in 1978. Mike was an active member of the community and his personality and smile will be greatly missed by all. Mike was a friend, known for his smile and dry sense of humor. Friendliest guy I know. Besides helping us furnish our house, Mike was just a great guy. We frequently stopped by the shop for a visit with Mike and Tom when returning from New Orleans.
