Elk Grove, California - Joe was born in Reedley California on February 6, 1941, to James and Josephine Nicholas. He peacefully passed away on April 17, 2025, in Elk Grove California.

Joe is survived by his children; son's David (Stefanie), Don (Erica), Dan (Michelle) and daughter Debbie Crump (Tal), grandchildren; Taylor O'Neill (Jack), Mason Crump, Heston Nicholas, Bronson Nicholas, Madison Nicholas, and Morgan Nicholas, sisters; Nickie Nicholas and Joann Shay, sister-in-laws; Bertie Nicholas and Nancy Heston; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and cherished friends. He was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 23 years Linda, parents James and Josephine Nicholas, brothers James Jr and David Nicholas, brother-in-laws; Ed and Ted Heston and Pinky Shay.

Service information is as follows:

The viewing will be held on April 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at East Lawn, located at 9189 E. Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, located at 8720 Florin Rd, Sacramento.

The Interment will be held at East Lawn, located at 9189 E. Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Hospice, 8241 E. Stockton Boulevard, Building #5, Sacramento, California 95828.

I love you so much Uncle Joe. I will talk to you in my prayers. I know you know how important you are to me. Thank you for showing me what a Fathers love is. Im so sorry to hear of uncle Joes passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I have so many memories candy making with aunt Linda (my god mother) and all of us kids running around having a blast. Uncle Joe was always there keeping us out of trouble! I remember he was a hard worker and threw the best parties. Love and hugs to your family.
