Joe O'Cull Obituary
MURRAY — Joe Frank O'Cull, age 83, passed away, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at his home.
Joe was born December 3, 1940, in Mason County to George O'Cull and Grace Thomas O'Cull.
He was graduated from Orangeburg High School, Morehead State University summa cum laude, and Kentucky Christian College.
He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and served in Christian Ministry.
His last work was with the Kentucky State Penitentiary as Chief Chaplain.
Those remaining include Helen Spann-O'Cull who has been his wife and caregiver; stepson, Rickie Dale Spann; grandson, Mason Spann all of Murray; three sisters, Norma Lee May (Roscoe) of Vanceburg, Anna Harover (Joe Farmer) of Lexington, Garnet Marie Trimble (Shelby); and brother, Henry Milton O'Cull (Linda) both of Maysville.
Deceased siblings, George O'Cull Jr., Edmond O'Cull, Eileen Reid, Geneva Reed, and Phylis Campbell.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m., March 30, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m.
Contributions can be made to Oakwood Church of Christ, 7178 Polecat Pike, Maysville, Kentucky 41056.
