Mr. Joe Henry Porter, age 73 of Milan, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Porter will be conducted on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1PM in the Rutherford chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Williams officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
He was born March 9, 1952, in Henning, TN; the son of the late Robert & Ida Mae Eaton Porter, Sr. He retired from Service Merchandise and was of the Baptist faith. He served his country with the US Army.
Mr. Porter is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Porter; four children, Joseph Porter, Sophia Arrington, Isabella Porter, Jeremiah Porter; grandson, Ra’quan Porter; three sisters, Dorothy Lee, Joyce Cotton, Mary Murphy; and two brothers, Frank Porter, and Larry Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Eddie Porter, Fred Porter, and Robert Porter, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 10AM until service time on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Joe Henry Porter.
