Joe Taylor, 67, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his residence.
He was born September 8, 1956 in Squib, Kentucky; son of the late James Morton & Minnie (Burdine) Taylor. Joe worked as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, & camping.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie (Roberts) Taylor; son, Joseph & (Sharon) Taylor; daughter, Danica Taylor; sisters, Leevonia "Sis" Abbott and Penny & (Byron) Brown; grandchildren, Autumn Deese, Jadon Taylor, Matthew Taylor, and Caleb Taylor; great-grandchildren, Isla Taylor and Liam Deese; and a host of nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eddie & (Effie) Taylor and Otto & (Valerie) Taylor; and a grandson, Jacob Taylor.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Adkins-Arthur Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
