Joe Thomas

Joseph M. Thomas of East Liverpool was a remarkable father, grandfather, son, and brother whose vibrant spirit touched many lives. He peacefully passed away at The Hospice House in Poland on Saturday, November 15, 2025, following injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident on October 27. Born on December 12, 1978, in East Liverpool, Joe was the beloved son of Lori Thomas. He leaves behind cherished memories as the devoted father of Tyler Reuter and Honesty Thomas (daughter of Misty Taylor), and as a proud grandfather to Heavenly Fleming. He is also remembered by his brother, Bruce "BJ" Wagner, both of whom share his East Liverpool roots. Joe's strong work ethic defined him; his dedication and resilience shone through in his role as a security guard for McKeen Security. An alumnus of Beaver Local High School and a member of the Wellsville First Christian Church, he further honed his skills by obtaining a welding degree from the New Castle School of Trades. Also, Joe was a huge Pittsburgh Steeler fan. A celebration of Joe's remarkable life will be held at the Wellsville First Christian Church on Saturday, November 22, at 4:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mark Blakley. Friends and loved ones are warmly invited to gather at the church starting at 2:00 p.m. to share memories and honor his legacy. Friends are strongly encouraged to wear their Pittsburgh Steeler gear. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester has graciously been entrusted with Joe's arrangements.
