Joe Trujillo, age 74, known to many as Coach, Mr. Trujillo, Papa Joe, Husband and Dad, peacefully passed away on March 23,2024 surrounded by and prayed for by family members. Services will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, beginning with a Visitation at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 11:00 a.m. and Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Joe lived an amazing life and influenced and impacted many throughout his years as a coach, teacher and principal. Joe was a respected veteran retiring from the Army National Guard with 20 years of service. He loved his 8 grandchildren more than anything and loved following all of them in their sports, education and careers. Joe is survived by his wife, Theresa with 53 years of marriage, his sons and daughter in-laws Jon and Patricia, Diego and Eliza and Carlo and Rebecca. He is also survived by his brother Tony and sisters Mable and Dolores. Joe will be greatly missed but his stories and memories will never be forgotten. We served with the N.M. National Guard in Belen .

Joe and I played football together at BHS. He was a very tough and intense player. We coached football together at BHS. We got our Master Degrees from Highland University. We drove to Highlands every Monday and Thursday. We shared many memories on the road to Las Vegas. Great friend.
