He was a packer in manufacturing of poultry. Joe enjoyed fishing, going for walks, and working at Whitmire Farms for 11 years. He had worked at Parker and Writman Poultry in Peachtree for the last 10 years until retirement. He loved spending time with his sister, Edna Dockery and his dog, Molly.
Joe is survived by his sister, Edna Dockery; nephew, James Dockery; niece, Jessica King (Jim); and great nieces, Sara King and Amy King.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 20, 2026 at Little Brasstown Cemetery with Pastor Aud Brown officiating.
