Joel Brodowsky of Moreno Valley died peacefully on June 10, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease.
Joel Brodowsky was born in Brooklyn, New York. In his late teens, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.
Sargeant Brodowsky was stationed at Camp LeJeune and served embassy duty in Rome Italy during his six years of active service. Joel lived by the motto "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." His service was always a source of pride that he carried with him throughout his long life.
After his honorable discharge, Joel began a 30-year career as an aviation mechanic for Pan American Airlines at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
He met and married his one love Joan (nee Baron) to whom he was married for 65 years. The couple settled in North Babylon, Long Island where they raised three sons Brian, Glen, and Paul. Throughout their lives, the couple shared a passion for animals and their home was always lively with dogs, fish, and birds. They retired and moved to Moreno Valley in 2002.
Joel was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Sadie and Irving Malach, his father Morris Brodowsky, and his brother Sanford Brodowsky. He is survived by his beloved wife, three sons, and two grandchildren.
