Joel Parnell Clem

Joel Parnell Clem passed away from cancer on Jan 1, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital in the Woodlands. Joel was born July 4, 1963 to Mr. & Mrs. Edward Lee Clem in Toppenish Washington.
Joel joined the Army in 1980. He was a Staff Sergeant 11M/Army Fighting Vehicle Infantryman. He had a very successful military career. He was also a proud member of the American Legion.
(From John Register) Joel was the Lead Service Technician for R-CON NDT in Menomonie WI. Joel worked in the Nondestructive Testing industry and was certified in multiple areas to provide service on testing equipment used in Aerospace, manufacturing, oil & gas industries. Joel Specialized in processors and was one of a few that was able to review and repair processor feeders. Joel worked with R-CON NDT for over 20 years and was very well liked by people that he worked with in the industry.
Prior to R-CON NDT Joel had an electronics business where he worked on and repaired household and entertainment devices. He also helped on Automotive repair when needed.
Joel had two electronic degrees from Chippewa Valley Technical institute that would aid him in his future work in Electronics and the NDT industry.
Joel love Hunting and he spent much time in the Chequamegon National Forest. Joel was an avid hunter and enjoyed speeding time in the woods hunting. He provided many people with venison. Joel also enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle. He enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycles. Joel was a handyman with mechanical, electrical skills and he also did some construction work.
Joel will be missed by his family and his co-workers who had the chance to be with him for many years.
In 2022 Joel took on another new career with Camping World of Spring, Texas starting their mobile tech service and joined the onsite techs in their service bays. He thoroughly enjoyed this new adventure and the staff he worked with.
Joel is preceded in death by his parents, Mr & Mrs Edward Clem; survived by his wife of 10 years, Michele Clem; step-son Cory Hughes and his partner Anna Mendoza, and three grandchildren.
Joel was known as a gentle giant by those who knew him and loved by so many more.
