Joel Craig Culpepper went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in Jackson, MS. He was 67 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 with burial following at Florence City Cemetery in Florence, MS.

Joel was born on May 12, 1957, to James Fulton Culpepper and Bertie Mae Sullivan Culpepper in Jackson, MS. He has lived his whole life in Florence where was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church. Joel was a truck driver in the oil and gas industry and worked for Cliburn Trucking for many years. He rode and trained horses and enjoyed his family and being a part of what they were doing. Joel was a man of faith that knew where he was going. He will truly be missed.

Joel is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jan Culpepper Douglas. He is survived by his three sons, Dalton Craig Culpepper of Clinton, Brody James Culpepper of Florence, and Colton Dawes Culpepper of Polkville; and sister, Mary Graham of Clinton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the final memorial stone for Mr. Culpepper.
