Joel "Joe" Reldon Harris, 61, of Easley, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Born in Pickens Co., he was a son of the late Paul Reldon Harris and the late Nettie Mae Reynolds Harris.

Joe was a member of Liberty Church of God of Prophecy and loved to go to church. After moving to Easley, Joe became a part of Lenhardt Christian Fellowship, a division of The Church of God of Prophecy. Joe loved his church family and enjoyed many activities that he was included to be a part.

Joe lived at West End Retirement Center for 15 years until going in the hospital in February of this year. He made many special friends there. Joe loved people, was friendly and made friends easily. He loved working with Better Skills, Inc., a nonprofit agency to assist individuals with disabilities and special needs. He also loved helping out around his home, the retirement center.

Joel is survived by brothers, William E. Harris (Mildred), Kenneth R. Harris, and James A. Harris, all of Liberty; sisters, Doris H. Bennett (Ronnie) of Cottageville, SC, and Sandra H. Ford (Keith) of Easley; and sister-in-law, Callie Harris. Joe had a special relationship with several nephews and a niece, Cathy Bennett. He also had a special friend at the retirement center, Marion Gayle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Harris Tyras Finley; and brothers, Carl A. Harris and LeeRoy Harris.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, October 15, 2021 at Lenhardt Christian Fellowship with burial to follow in Six Mile Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
