Life Reflections

Joel Eric Kilgore, 64, of Garland, Texas entered eternal rest on December 2, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1961, in Chicago, Il., to Gladys Kilgore (preceded him in death). He was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Nu Eta Chapter at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS.

In 1998, Joel married Dalpheny Kilgore, and together they built a strong and loving family. They raised five children, Jerrod Moore, Joel Jackson, Santiago Adamez, Jo'El Alyxs Kilgore, and Ryan Kilgore, instilling in them the values of faith, unity, respect, and compassion. Joel believed deeply in the importance of family, and he lived each day showing what true fatherhood and devotion look like.

To his family, Joel was an exceptional man, a gentle giant, a man of a gentle spirit, and a generous heart. Whether sharing wisdom, lending a helping hand, or simply being present, Joel will be remembered for his loving nature, his incredible strength, and the positive impact he had on everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Joel's life was a testament to love in action. He showed up when it mattered, loved without condition. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his wisdom, strength, and love will continue to guide and inspire all whose lives he touched. To many others, he was a mentor, a friend, and a source of encouragement. His positive spirit and ability to uplift those around him made him a pillar with his community and among everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Joel is survived by his beloved wife Dalpheny Kilgore, children, Jerrod, Joel, Santiago, Jo'El Alyxs, and Ryan, grandchildren, brother, Harold Kilgore, sister, Camille Kilgore Lenior, nieces, nephews' cousins' other relatives and friends
