Michael Lynn Kilgore, age 67, husband of Linda Kilgore, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Monday morning, December 8, 2025, at his residence.
Born on March 3, 1958, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Michael was the son of the late Robert Dean Kilgore and the late Dorothy McCaleb Kilgore. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Michael worked as a pipe fitter for thirty-five years, earning numerous awards throughout his career, before retiring in 2013.
Michael was an avid University of Tennessee fan and enjoyed spending his time watching television. He also loved listening to country music, with his favorite song being “Dust in the Wind.”
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his niece, Amber Lynn (Ryan) Marx, great nieces and nephews, Thomas Marx, Eva Rose Marx, Wesley Kilgore, and Bree Kilgore, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Jaidyn Kay Ezell, Mason David Bradshaw, and Galilee Grace Johnson.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Dean Kilgore, Jr., sister, Susan Morgan, and nephew, Chris Kilgore.
The family will hold a celebration of life ceremony at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
