CARBONDALE - Joetta Lynn King, 68, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at her home.
Joetta was born on December 21, 1955 to Lenard Gaylord and Patricia J. (Stroud) Milton in Murphysboro. She married Rev. Jerry L. King on October 27, 1979 in Carbondale.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jerry L. King, children, Jaryn Lee King and Jessica Leigh (Jeffery) Wagley, grandchildren Isaiah Landen Scott Wagley, Anna Gabriella Wagley, and Sophia Joy Wagley; siblings Brenda Kay Slate, Rebecca Gayle Stevens, Rhonda Jane Milton, Randall Dean Milton, Timothy Allen Milton, Kevin Wayne Milton, Ronald Gene Milton, and Christopher Milton; brother-in-law Jimmie R. King, and sister-in-law Harriet Horner.
She is proceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service lead by the family will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Limestone Baptist Church in Cobden at 1:00pm with Rev. Jerry King officiating. Burial will follow at Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Donations may be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
