Joey Lawrence of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Saturday , November 19, 2022 at the age of 66. He was born December 24, 1955 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joe Weatherspoon and Dorothy Lawrence.
Joe Attended South East High School in 1974, and then entered the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Texas. Upon returning home Joe attended college at The Guadalupe Culinary School of Arts in Kansas City,Mo. After graduating culinary school, Joe worked as a chef for 30 years. Through hard work and determination, he worked his way to a leadership position as an Executive Chef and spent the last year of his career managing at HMS Host in MCI Airport.
He met the love of his life Wanda J. Lawerence in May 1993. Together they created their blended family which consisted of six children. Joe devoted his life to Jehovah and spent his free tim shooting pool, listening to music, dancing, playing chess, playing cards and was the greatest at Dominos. He attended many family gatherings where he enjoyed cracking jokes and making others laugh with his great sense of humor.
His family treasures the memories and wonderful vacations spent with him and he will forever be missed.
Joey was preceded by his parents Dorothy Lawerence, Joe and Mary L. Weatherspoon, Son Jowan Lawerence, Siblings; Keith Lawerence, Wanda Weatherspoon, Beverly Fanniel and Ray Griffin.
He is remembered with gratitude for his beautifullife by his loving family; his wife Wanda J. Lawerence, His sons; Jack Christenson, Joedan Hughes and Wandale Fulton. Daughters; Claudia Youngel and Jaynesheia Rippy. Aunt; Amanda Ross. Siblings; Brenda, Sheryl, Mary , Patricia Victoria, Rosalind and Doug. Grandchildren; Jojuania, Trey , Frenesheia, Frechanna, Fredricka, Alice, Nidale and London. 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews cousins, relatives and friends.
