Joseph Patrick "Joey" Sarto October 19, 1963 – July 14, 2025
Joseph Patrick Sarto, lovingly known as Joey, entered into his eternal home with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 61.
Joey was born on October 19, 1963, to Bob Sarto and Donna Higgins Sarto. He spent his early childhood in Oklahoma City before moving to Quinton, Oklahoma, at the age of seven, where he attended school and formed lifelong friendships.
Joey had a deep love for sports, especially baseball. A loyal Cubs fan, he even made a trip to Chicago to cheer them on in person. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting - not so much for the game, but for the camaraderie. Some of his fondest memories were made on the mountain, sharing stories and laughs with his uncles and cousins.
Kind-hearted and selfless, Joey had a natural inclination to care for others. Whether it was helping a neighbor, checking on a friend, or simply showing up when someone needed him, Joey's compassion never went unnoticed. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.
His devotion to family was evident in the way he lovingly cared for his aging grandparents and his mother - not out of obligation, but out of genuine love. That same spirit carried over into his work, where he managed the local hardware store with pride and dedication.
Joey is survived by his father, Bob Sarto of Chicago, Illinois; his uncle, Keith Higgins of Bethany, Oklahoma; his aunt, Joyce Self of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and many beloved cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Sarto; his grandfather, Ceaf Higgins; and his grandmother, Tennie Higgins, all of Quinton, Oklahoma.
Joey's presence was a blessing to all who knew him. His warm heart, gentle spirit, and quiet strength will not be forgotten.
A celebration of Joey's life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. His family invites all who knew and loved him to gather, share memories, and honor the life of a truly good man.
"He loved well, lived kindly, and left this world better than he found it."
