JOHANNA MARTINEZ Obituary
December 04, 1954 - December 05, 2024
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Johanna, who completed her earthly journey at the age of 70. She left this world loved by many following a car accident earlier that afternoon. Johanna is now reunited in heaven with her husband, Leroy Martinez; her son, Isaiah Martinez; her parents, Tom and Mary Rose Trujillo; her brother, Tom Trujillo; and her sister, Brenda Trujillo.
She is survived by her daughters, Iisha Barnes (Anthony) and Tonya Bausch (Eugene); her sons, James Martinez and Derek Martinez (Shantel); her grandchildren, Tajewan, Tobias, Alysiana, Cailley (Brendon), Hannah, and Mea; her great-grandson, Kelly; and numerous other family members and friends.
Johanna was born and raised in Santa Fe and graduated from Saint Michael's High School in 1972. She and Leroy attended Rhema Bible College from 1982 to 1983, after which they became ministers. Johanna had a profound love for God and found joy in hosting weekly Bible studies for her friends. She cherished her dogs, Faith and Hope, who miss her dearly. In her free time, Johanna enjoyed gardening, cake decorating, and cooking when she wasn't studying the Bible.
A memorial celebration of Johanna's life will be held on Friday, March 7, at 1 PM sharp at Rosario Cemetery, Section MM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to www.cffnm.org.

I miss you my dear friend even though I know you are finally out of pain and in the arms of God. You loved Jesus more than anyone else I know.
Although you suffered so much here, you never stopped finding joy in the little things or being there for others. Your life changed so many! You leave a wonderful legacy here with all of your children, grandchildren and friends who were blessed to have you as long as we did.
