Johanne Hostler-pitt Obituary
Johanne attended Orlando Jr. Academy and graduated from Winter Park High School. In furthering her education, she attended Central Florida College & ITT Technical where she earned her Computer Networking and Medial Billing & Coding degrees.
In 2003, Joey started working at AdventHealth, formerly known as Florida Hospital. While employed, she became a senior lead for Patient Financial Services Representative. Ove the years, she has moved through AdventHealth and ended her time there at the Bone Marrow Transplant as a Financial Manager until she retired.
Throughout her life Johanne believed in God through the power of prayer, because her faith in God was shown to her by her parents as a child. She was always there to pray with others in their time of need. The love of music was passed down from her parents as she often sang with her family and sisters. Joey had a beautiful tenor voice, as well as a musical ear like no other. She belonged to various choirs but in recent years she was the background to the group Simply Praise.
Joeys hobbies consisted of dancing, traveling, shopping, joking, as well as hanging out with family and friends. When she entered the room, her smile was infectious, and she would embrace you with love as if you were a part of her family. Joey was a ray of sunshine; to know her was to love her.
In 2020, Joey met and fell in love with Shawne Pitt, and they were married on November 5, 2021. Their love for each other was indescribable, organic, and it inspired others.
Johanne leaves behind her husband Shawne Pitt; her step-children Andreiya & Andrew Pitt; her daughter Viscaldle; her parents Cush & Yolette Dolce; her sisters Margalye "Teddy" & Karnynn Dolce; her brother Esnel Metelus; and a host of family, friends, and coworkers. Johanne "Joey" will be truly missed.
