Angela Mitchell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marvin C. Zanders Funeral Home, Inc. on Sep. 19, 2025.
Angela Dean Mitchell was born on January 10, 1965, in Midland, Texas, to Andrew Dean and Ida B. Mitchell. They later made Winter Park, Florida their home, where she graduated from Winter Park High School in 1983. Angela continued her pursuit of knowledge at Strayer University and Seminole State College, always striving to grow and better herself. Angela was a radiant spirit whose joy was contagious. Her smile could brighten any room, and her laughter was a melody that brought comfort and happiness to those around her. She had a deep love for travel, especially cruising with her cherished family and friends - creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who shared those journeys with her. On September 10, 2025, Angela's beautiful soul departed this world, leaving a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother Clifford Butler, and her sister Janice Mitchell Hill. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through those she held dear. Angela leaves behind her devoted sister, Roxie Lewis of Houston, Texas; nephews, Tyrell Lewis and Reginald Lewis, along with their families; her favorite cousin, Charles Williams of Miami, Florida; and her cousin, Jamaica Joiner of Mount Dora, Florida, and a host of loving cousins and lifelong friends. Angela's life was a gift to all who knew her. Her spirit, kindness, and joy will be remembered always.

Others called you Angie but you and I affectionately called one another "Boo Boo". You found a meme that you said represented us. You told me the yellow Tellatubby was me and the red was you. Only you knew the significance of the single red and yellow rose left at your graveside.

Our friendship spanned over 50 years. We went through a lot together. You would often tell me "We don't have to share blood to be family, you're my family." We were not only best friends but sisters.

Unfortunately, at times challenging circumstances and distance dictated that I could not always physically be there with you as I would have liked, however I was always with you in spirit.

I can still hear your contagious laugh. We cried together, laughed together, and shared our deepest secrets without judgment. I will miss our conversations when we talked for hours about anything and everything until our cell phone batteries ran down.

My heart is heavy and broken . I miss you so much and feel alone in this world without you.

Your sudden and unexpected passing is still so surreal. I take some solace in knowing I now know an angel by name. You are at peace now free of pain and suffering with Janice and Ms. Ida-the three amigos.

Until we meet again you will always be in my thoughts, prayers and heart. Our close friendship and love for one another is something that cannot be replicated or replaced. You will always be my "Boo Boo".

Rest in peace my friend,

Love Aleasia
