Johanny Lois Rhobes

Johanny Lois Rhobes, 58, of New Haven, CT died suddenly at her home on Friday, December 19, 2025. Johanny was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on August 24, 1967, a daughter of Carmen Colón Ruíz of New Haven and the late Martín Rhobes Medina, and had resided in New Haven since 1991.

She was a job coach at Growers, Inc., of New Haven for the past three years, and was a school bus driver for First Student Bus Co. for six years. Johanny previously did secretarial work for several years. She was also a member of Una Iglesia Para la Ciudad of New Haven.

Johanny is also survived by three sons, Jivan Lee Marteen Pérez Rhobes, Jaen Kristian Pérez Rhobes and Jensen Davila, two sisters, Jamylett Rhobes Colón and Janixa (Rafael Zepaltua Villagómez) Rhobes Colón, all of New Haven, two brothers, Joel (Katiliany Díaz Rivera) Rhobes Colón of East Haven and Juan Carlos Rhobes Oquendao of Toa Baja, PR, three grandchildren, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Johanny's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 30th at Una Iglesia Para la Ciudad, 99 East Pearl St., New Haven from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
