John Abbott Obituary
12/04/1945-04/13/2025
It's time to say goodbye to a great hunter and fisherman:
He loved his life roaming around the woods in the Jemez and spending time at the family cabin, hunting elk, deer and grouse. He is proceeded in death by his mother Edna Gallant and his brother Patrick.
John is survived by his loving wife Cathy Collins, his sister Claudia ( Lonnie), Nephew Kenny ( Emily) and his brother Victor.
He also leaves behind his extended loving family David ( Donna), three granddaughters and husbands and eight great grandkids, His brother in law Al (Dawn) and family and Brother in law Mike (Donna) and family, his best bud Tyler Storm and his family at USGS.
Many thanks to Dr. R. Silvey Optum Doctor at Lovelace Westside doctors, Bosque Trails Hospice and NM Cancer Center. Cremation has taken place and he will remain in Jemez.

John you made Cathy happy! You put Cathy first. Cathy loved you dearly, John. Jemez is a beautiful place to hang out John. Sorry you left us. Sad for us not joining you is a beautiful and peaceful place. Keep an eye on us John. Love to you and your family, especially Cathy!
