John Joseph Abraham, a cherished patriarch, and esteemed businessman, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 4, 2025, at the age of 92 in Morristown, New Jersey. Born on July 22, 1933, in Newark, New Jersey, John's life was a testament to his creative spirit, wisdom, and humor, which touched the hearts of all who knew him.
John was a proud graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned a Business Degree that paved the way for his successful career. He was the co-owner and co-founder of Sigma Design Company and served as its Sales & Marketing Vice President. His leadership and innovative thinking left an indelible mark on the industry and provided inspiration to his colleagues.
A devout Roman Catholic, John lived his faith through his actions, embodying the principles of kindness and compassion in his everyday interactions. His commitment to his religion was as steadfast as his dedication to his family and work.
An artist at heart, John created many original works in oil painting, each piece a reflection of his deep appreciation for beauty and expression. When he was not holding a paintbrush, John could often be found on the golf course. An avid golfer, he relished the game for its challenges and the camaraderie it fostered among friends and family.
John's sense of humor put everyone at ease, and his ability to light up a room with his wit will be sorely missed. His wisdom was sought after by many, as he had a unique way of seeing to the heart of any matter and offering guidance that was both practical and profound. Those who had the pleasure of knowing John will remember him as a man who could always be counted on for a funny quip, a thoughtful insight, or a helping hand.
Above all, John was a family man. He was widowed by his loved and adored wives, Gloria Abraham and Eileen Abraham. He is survived by his loving daughters, Lynn Feldman (Gary), Karen Patel (Ajay), and Jean Albowicz; his step-daughter, Sharon Zannelli (Jay Nash); his adored grandchildren, Kyle Yoskowitz (Jesse), Brett Feldman, Carly Feldman, Adara Patel Horton (Ben), Devon Patel, Liam Patel, Nicholas Albowicz, Miles Nash, and Cliff Nash; and the newest members of the family, his great grandchildren, Ryder Yoskowitz and Brynn Yoskowitz; John is also survived by his beloved sisters, Millie Abraham and Viola Carlone, as well as many nieces and nephews. Each of them carries a piece of John's legacy in their hearts, continuing the traditions and values he held dear.
As we bid farewell to John Joseph Abraham, we celebrate a life richly lived and a man deeply loved. His creative spark and indomitable spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been part of his journey. John's memory will be cherished and his presence sorely missed, but the impact of his life will resonate for generations to come.
