My first memory was meeting the guy with the handle bar mustache. I was quite young at the time and the guy with handle bar mustache did NOT talk to me like a child. I use that experience whenever possible. I know how much I appreciated that as a young man.
Favorite & special memory of John was definitely when I discovered what a sentimental man he was. My Son and I spent a few days on his property in Windsor. We Installed a new metal roof on the house that was his mother & father´s house that was worth more (monetarily that is!!) than the home itself! He and I had a good laugh about that. I suspect John had a great many memories on that property, when revisiting that property I suspect it would spark those good time´s for him.
Every time I had the opportunity to get together with John & Wendy, we always seemed to be laughing about something that is something. I´ll never forget his laugh. He was always in a good mood!
In my opinion, a great man always remembers where he came from.
