It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Pius Akkara on September 6, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on September 3, 1962, in India.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Pius. He will be remembered as a devoted husband to his wife, Neena John, and a loving father to his children, Martin and Nikitha. John was a cherished son to Pius Akkara and a beloved sibling to George, Mary, and Joseph.
John was a skilled Software Engineer in the Technologies industry, having earned his Bachelor's Degree. Beyond his professional pursuits, he found joy in playing cricket and tennis, enjoying traveling and swimming. A faithful member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, John's commitment to his faith was unwavering, and he found solace and camaraderie in his community.
Throughout his life, John exuded warmth and kindness, touching the lives of many with his generous spirit and unwavering support. Married for over 32 years to the love of his life, Neena, their bond exemplified true partnership and love.
Funeral services for John will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will gather with friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. In these services, we will come together to honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable individual who brought light and joy to all who knew him.
John's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his spirit find peace and may his legacy of love and compassion continue to inspire us all.
