My belated condolences. I don´t have any of John´s photos but the image was ingrained in my brain that he was a devoted husband and family man, once he had shared with me that he didn´t have to work for the last few years had it not been for the support of his son and possibly grand sons. That showed how much he cares for his family. John was dedicated, professional , and passionate about his work and despite some unavoidable conflicts at work, John never raised his voice or got upset. A true gentleman!
- I truly miss him as a friend as was honored to be his manager during my time at Volterra semiconductor. RIP my friend.
May God richly bless his loving families. /Michael T.

Somehow, this was brought to my attention. John and I were the same age and our grandmothers were sisters. Louise Berg Ameling and Agnes Berg Eich. I can remember going to Louise´s store with my grandmother as a child. What an interesting life he led from our humble beginnings. I love Yosemite, as well. My sympathies to your family.

What a grand adventure.
He had such remarkable passion for the people and things he loved.
My heart goes out to all who love him.
I knew a lot of the journeys he went on, but there were a lot I was also unaware of.
He is on his greatest adventure to date.
