John Anderson Obituary
Published by Legacy on Nov. 22, 2025.
"The legacy of hard work is the gift a man leaves behind-built not with tools or timber, but with the strength of his character and the love he poured into his family."
John William Anderson, age 66, resident of Oklahoma, departed this earthly life on Monday, November 17, 2025, in New Albany, Mississippi.
Born on April 10, 1959, in Reidsville, Georgia, Mr. John was the beloved son of the late William and Mary Jeanette Wilson Anderson. A proud graduate of the Reidsville Public School System and a true Georgia boy at heart, he was a man shaped by grit, determination, and the unwavering belief that anything worth having was worth working for. He carried within him a natural drive-an instinct to study, learn, and make the most out of whatever life handed him.
A self-made man through and through, Mr. Anderson possessed an entrepreneurial mind that never rested. He was a businessman in every sense of the word, always working for himself, always searching for that next opportunity. His goal was simple: to make a dollar wherever he could so he could better support his family and give them the best life possible. He built his life on hard work, business-minded thinking, and the belief that you don't wait for success-you chase it.
A Christian with simple but steadfast beliefs, Mr. Anderson lived life boldly and unapologetically on his own terms. To most, he was serious, straightforward, and never one to sugarcoat. But to those who truly knew him, he was quick-witted, humorous, and downright entertaining. He loved to sing-even though he probably wasn't near as good as he claimed-and he never missed a chance to throw in one of his famous lines like, "If I was any better, I'd be twins" or start a conversation with his classic, "cay pasa!" He had a natural way of commanding a room, capturing attention the moment he stepped in, and could-by his own proud admission-"I can get anyone to like me for 15 minutes!" But the love that people had for him would be for a lifetime.
To his children, he was everything a father should be. He was their provider, their protector, their steady voice of reason, and their first call. Through both good moments and bad, he always stood by them, supported them, and loved them with a quiet strength that never wavered.
While his presence will be deeply missed and the void he leaves behind felt for years to come, there is comfort in knowing that Mr. Anderson is finally at peace. His journey here may be complete, but his lessons, his laughter, and his one-of-a-kind personality will live on in all who loved him.
Those left to carry on his legacy include two daughters, Tiffany Anderson and Marilyn Anderson, one son, Mike Anderson, four grandchildren, and his former wife, Mrs. Silvia Anderson.
