John Anello

John J. Anello, 63, of Pittsfield passed away after a prolonged struggle with cancer and related health challenges. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters.

John was born in Pittsfield, MA on July 23, 1962 to the late Evelyn O'Rourke.

John leaves behind his wife, Rotjana "Chico" Anello of 33 years, and daughters, Christina Anello and Melissa Sokolowski. He is also survived by his sisters Ginni (Gary) Cuenin, Theresa (Anthony) Errichetto; his brothers-in-law Kevin Bailot, Peerayot "Jep" (Tammy) Noummano, James (Louville) Menin, AJ Menin, many nieces and nephews, beloved cat Scuttle, and three granddogs whom he loved dearly.

John is predeceased by his mother Evelyn O'Rourke, stepfather Thomas O'Rourke, and sister Gina Bailot.

John enjoyed following the latest baseball games; he was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. He and his wife Chico loved going out to eat at Luau Hale and sharing a scorpion bowl. He took pleasure in bringing his family together for grilling while enjoying a cold Coors Light. He loved spending time outdoors looking after his meticulous lawn, and offering a helping hand to his neighbors. His 1988 Thunderbird was a labor of love, and he enjoyed keeping all of his cars in perfect shape.

A celebration of life will be held at The Polish Falcon Club on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 1PM-4PM.
